A warehouse floor never gets admired. It gets driven on. These are the coatings for slabs that have to take forklifts, chemicals, hot water and a shift that doesn't stop.
Before Misti Wyant ever poured a floor she was a Laboratory Technician and Production Lead at American Phoenix, the rubber mix plant inside the historic old Uniroyal factory in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. That's a job where you read the data sheet, you learn what a surface has to live through, and you find out fast when something doesn't hold.
She spent three months researching epoxy before she'd commit to it, then trained professionally in Houston in 2023. She also founded Clearly Buckin' Clean in Bossier City in 2020 and still runs it, so she's spent years finding out what actually comes off a floor and what doesn't.
On an industrial slab that's the whole ballgame. Prep is what decides whether your floor is still down in five years, and Misti is standing on it while it happens.
Most industrial floors that fail didn't fail at the coating, they failed at the slab underneath it. Moisture still driving up through the concrete is the usual culprit, and the trade measures it with the ASTM F2170 relative humidity test. The other half is profile, meaning how aggressively the concrete gets ground before anything goes down. That's graded CSP 1 through 9 on the ICRI scale, and a heavier coating needs a deeper bite. That's what the walkthrough is for.

She came to epoxy from a laboratory. Then she went to Houston in 2023 and trained professionally. She also founded Clearly Buckin' Clean in Bossier City in 2020, and it is still running today, so she knows exactly what a surface has to survive.
Misti was born in La Grange, Texas, and her father's family is from Columbia, Louisiana, where her grandfather made his living as a commercial fisherman on the Ouachita River. In August 2025 she brought Get Floored Epoxy home to the Shreveport and Bossier City area. She is a second-year Corporate Sponsor of the Krewe of Centaur and a member of the Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana, and she is passionate about proving that women can succeed in traditionally male-dominated industries.
